Saying 86: Nowhere to Lay His Head
Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the son of man has nowhere to lay his head and rest.
Commentary
Thomas adds “and rest” to the Q saying, tying homelessness to *anapausis*, the rest that the whole book treats as the goal. In this world the son of man does not have it.
