Saying 11: This Heaven Will Pass Away
This heaven and the one above it will pass away; the dead are not alive and the living will not die. When you were one you became two — so what will you do now that you are two?

The saying moves from cosmology to the reader in three steps. The closing question is genuinely open: Thomas poses the problem of division here and answers it in sayings 22 and 106.
