Saying 71: I Will Destroy This House
I will tear down this house, and no one will be able to build it again.
Commentary
Mark and John have a rebuilding in three days; Thomas removes it, leaving pure demolition. If “this house” is the Temple, the saying may reflect a period after 70 CE when rebuilding looked impossible.
