Saying 68: Blessed Are You When You Are Hated
Blessed are you when you are hated and persecuted; and no place will be found wherever you have been persecuted.
Commentary
The second half is obscure and the Coptic may be damaged. Read one way it is a curse on the persecutors; read another, a promise that the persecuted will be beyond reach.
