Saying 2: Seek and Do Not Stop Seeking
Seek until you find; when you find you will be disturbed; when you are disturbed you will marvel, and you will reign over all.
Commentary
A four-stage ladder — seeking, finding, disturbance, wonder, rule. Note that the disturbance comes *after* the discovery, not before it. Clement of Alexandria quotes a near-identical saying from the Gospel of the Hebrews, which shows the line circulating well outside Thomas.
